Tait Enterprises welcomes you and HTML 5

Adieu Flash. Have fun in cougartown.

I'm happy to have the new website up and running using HTML 5 tags and elements and kicking my previous flash version of my site to the curb.

Don't get me wrong. I really liked my flash site — unless I wanted to check it out on my iPhone 3G or my iPhone 4.

Back in the day, I developed interactive CDs using Macromedia Director and incorporated flash elements. My colleague and I split the research and development — I picked Director and he chose Flash.

I know Flash was installed as part of my upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 5. But what about Director? (Insert cricket noise here.)

Anyway, Flash is still alive and kicking and there are still some reasons and value to having it be part of a web experience. However, there are also a bunch of modern web coding techniques that give you all the great taste and none of the calories.

PS. What about the new logo? After more than 10 years, Tait Enterprises got a make over.
